Alex

Alex is about to finish up the sixth grade and is ready for summer break I'm sure. His baseball season is about to be finished up as well as the regular season has finished, but they have to go back and play the rainouts. His team, the Braves, are really good and have only lost one game all year - to the Dodgers. The Dodgers are one of the rainout games that has to be made up so they are looking for payback. The Braves could be in first place as I have no idea what the standings are, but I am operating under the premise that the Dodgers haven't lost any games and we are coming for payback.

They had an exciting finish last night as they were down 10-6 going into their last at-bat. They pushed across four runs to tie the game and Alex came up with two outs and a runner on second. Carrie said he hit the hardest ball of his life and just missed a home run as it bounced over the fence for a ground rule double. Game over. The playoffs will start next week so we'll see how that pans out.
