Dog Days of Summer

It is hot and humid here in SC! Tomatoes and bermuda grass are thriving in these conditions. We are not. Hard to go outside and play with the kids when you start sweating the instant you step outside. Thank God for the new A/C system we bought in April. The house actually stays reasonably cool when it is 98 outside.

Carrie is taking the kids down to her mother's on Tuesday to have a little visit before returning with Nana on Thursday. The kids will stay down there and go to Florida with the grandparents for a trip to Florida. Brady will be going along as well. Sounds nuts to me. I have to stay and work. Alex's new room has been cleaned out and taped so all I have to do is paint it - let me back up a bit- we have to decide on a color and then paint it. I will probably stay home Wednesday in order to get it done because Nana will be sleeping in there during her visit.

Rion's knees and feet have finally healed up and he hasn't tripped or fallen lately. We have Reagan signed up for soccer this fall and Blake signed up for baseball. It will be coach pitched and more importantly, they record outs and make you get off the field. His last tee ball season allowed the entire team to bat regardless of what happened in the field and he hated it. They didn't keep score and nobody ever won or lost and that drove him nuts as well.

School is starting in three weeks and Alex will be home on the 13th or 14th so it will be good to have him back. Everyone be good....
